Every once in a while, we may need to cut a song on our mobile phone. For example, you may want to select only part of your favorite music and set it as the ringtone on the phone. Most Android phones allow users to direct set an audio track as ringtone, but the music cutting feature is missing. Today, we will introduce you a free music editor that can help us easily cut or trim music songs on Android phones for free.
Music Editor is a very useful Audio Editor, MP3 Cutter, Ringtone Maker, Song Editor for Android which is available for free with ads on Google Play store. Go and get this free audio editor app on to your phone first.
Run the music editor, you will see its main functions on the home screen like this.
Choose Trim Audio. Browse to your music library or use the File Browser to locate the music file you want to edit and load it into the editor.
Play the music in the editor, pause at the position you want to start, then move the starting marker to the play head. Play the music until the position you want to end, then pause and move the ending marker there. Tap on the Save button at the top right corner. Type in the file name for the trimmed audio on the next screen. The TRIMMED tab of the My Creations screen opens. Here you can selected the trimmed music track, set it as ringtone or more, share it using email or other file transfer apps, etc.
You can also find the split music from Internal storage > DCIM > Music Editor > Trim.

App is not easy to use. Markers don’t move. Sound is not the full length of the screen. Numbers do not show on the bottom of sound waves.
