Today, we will use another popular media player for Android to stream music songs and audio files from a Windows 10 PC to our Android device, the PlayerXtreme app.

Stream music & audio from Windows to Android
There are mainly two steps to listen to your music on your computer using your mobile phone. The first step is to enable file sharing on your Windows PC so you can use your mobile phone to access your music library on the computer.
Share music from PC
If you have already enabled file sharing on the music album from your Windows computer, you can ignore this step. Otherwise follow below steps to share music songs from computer.
Type in ‘control panel’ in the search box in the Windows taskbar at the bottom to quickly open the classic Windows Control panel. Then go to Network & Internet > Network & Sharing Center > Change Advanced Sharing Settings.
Click to enable Turn on network discovery and File and printer sharing options under the Private (current profile).
Then find the music album which you want to share in Windows File Explorer, right click on it, choose Properties, switch to the Sharing tab and share this folder.
Stream music & songs from PC to phone
Download and install the Playerxtreme app. Launch the media player. Switch from the Phone to Network tab at the bottom of the media player app. Tap on From PC/MAC.

Then fill in the connection information to add your Windows shared folder to the player app on the phone.

Share Name: your PC name, such as My PC, Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, My Computer, etc.
Protocol: SMB
Address: your computer local IP address. Scroll down to the bottom see how to find out the IP address on Windows PC.
Domain: optional
Username: your PC username
Password: your PC password
Tap on Save. You can then find your Windows PC in the Saved Shares section on the Network screen of the media player. Tap to access your Windows PC and the shared files on it. You can then directly play music songs, movies, videos, audios saved on your PC from your mobile phone.

Find local IP address on PC
- Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.
- Type “cmd” and press Enter to open the Command Prompt.
- In the Command Prompt, type “ipconfig” and press Enter.
- Scroll down to the section labeled “Ethernet adapter” or “Wi-Fi”.
- Look for the “IPv4 Address” entry under the appropriate adapter. This is your local IP address.
Alternatively, you can also use the Windows Settings app.
- Open the Windows Settings app.
- Click on Network & internet.
- Click on Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
- Scroll down to the Properties section and look for the IPv4 address entry.
