ES File Explorer is not only a file manager for Android, but also a file editor, player, viewer, transfer tool. In an earlier post, we explained how this free file manager app can help us transfer files between Android and computer via FTP without USB or internet connection. Today, we will review another useful file sharing tool, ES Sender.
Run ES File Explorer, you will see various shortcuts. Find and open Sender to open the ES Sender as shown below.

Tap Send button, tap to choose files from your phone’s storage, including files, documents, images, videos, movies, music, even apps. Then tap on Send button at the bottom.

Let the recipient know you are trying to send he/she some files and inform them to run ES File Explorer on their device and receive the files. Files will be saved to their phone. Open ES File Explorer or any other file manager app, there will be a folder named ‘esshare‘ created in the root directory of your internal storage where all files received through ES File Explorer app where saved.
File transfer through Wi-Fi or hotspot
Both mobile phones have to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. The file transfer tool copy over your files through local network, it doesn’t upload any file to a cloud service.
Other than that, Android users can also turn on personal hotspot on the phone and let their friends connect to their hotspot for the wireless transfer without Wi-Fi or internet connection. You can refer to this guide to create personal hotspot on Huawei mobile, these steps to turn LG phone into Wi-fi hotspot, etc.
