Lock Settings and Apps on Android

When you run the privacy protection app for the first time, you will be prompted to draw an unlock pattern to protect the app. You can disable the lock pattern and setup password protection instead in the AppLock app later. You can see two tabs in the AppLock: Privacy and Protect. Under the Privacy tab, you can choose apps, settings and options to lock. Under the Protect tab, you can choose how to lock, unlock the app, configure security settings, set security email, hide applock app, enable random keyboard, apply cover to improve security, etc.

In the Privacy tab, you will see three sections: Advanced, Switch Lock and General.

  • Advanced: lock/unlok Google Play Store, incoming call, notification, settings, prevent app installing and uninstalling.
  • Switch Lock: lock options like Auto Sync, Bluetooth, WiFi.
  • General: lock all other apps running on your phone, like Gmail, Messaging, Gallery, WhatsApp, Messenger, Twitter, Quora, Facebook, etc.

To lock or unlock a service, app or option, tap on the lock/unlock icon behind it. After that, whenever anyone tries to open a protected app on your phone, he/she will have to provide the correct password in order to open or access it.

Lock photos, videos on Android

You can choose to lock the Gallery app on the phone, so all photos, videos, screenshots and albums will be locked. You can also choose PhotoVault or VideoVault under the Privacy tab to select and hide certain photos or videos on your phone.
