As you probably know, many smart Wi-Fi routers support the not to broadcast SSID or WiFi network name feature. You can log on the router settings page from a web browser to disable the broadcast SSID option so other people won’t find your Wi-Fi from their mobile phones and computers. At the same time, you can’t connect to the hidden Wi-Fi network the same way you connect to a normal network. Here’s how you can connect an Android device to the hidden WiFi.
Open the Settings app on your Android phone. Tap Wi-Fi or WLAN to open the Wi-Fi or WLAN settings screen on your phone. Touch the ON/OFF toggle to turn it on. Your phone can’t detect the Wi-Fi as it was set to hidden from router. You will have to manually input the Wi-Fi network name. There should be an Add Wi-Fi Network option which you can use to manually connect to a Wi-fi network. This option can be placed at the bottom of the available networks list on some phones, or from the menu opened from the top right corner on others.

- Type the network name into the Wi-Fi name or Enter the SSID box.
- Choose the security option.
- Type the password.
- Tap the Save or Connect button to connect your phone to the hidden Wi-Fi.
