SideQuest is a open app store for mobile android based VR devices such as the Levovo Mirage, Oculus Go, Oculus Quest, Vive Focus. If you like to get more apps that are not yet available on the Oculus Store for your Oculus Quest, or manage headset settings from computer, you can download and use SideQuest on computer. It is completely free for users and developers and always will be as the developer claims.

In order to connect Oculus Quest with SideQuest, you need to follow these steps.
Step 1. Create developer account on Meta website
You have to be a registered “developer” on the Meta website, it’s free, quick and easy. Open developer.oculus.com/sign-up/ and create an ‘organization’.
Step 2: Enable Developer Mode and Reboot
Before you can do any sideloading, you’ll also need to enable developer mode on your Oculus Quest. Turn on your Quest headset and open the Meta Quest app on the Android or iOS device you used to set up your Quest.
- Tap Settings (bottom-right)
- Select your connected Quest from the device list and connect to it
- Tap More Settings which appears below your Quest in the device list
- Tap Developer Mode
- Tap the switch to enable developer mode
- Exit Settings on the app & reboot your Quest using the right-side power button
Step 3: Connect USB Cable and Allow USB Debugging
Use a cable to connect your PC and the VR headset. On the headset, you will get a warning about USB debugging, you will have to allow USB debugging access on your headset. You should also select ‘Always allow from this computer’ to prevent this message from coming up every time you connect.
Before you disconnect the Meta Quest from SideQuest make sure you have no running tasks.
