In an earlier post, we used the built-in screen recorder on Tecno mobile phone to record screen as videos on the phone. It is straightforward and requires only a few taps. Unfortunately we have not found a video editor on Tecno phones can trim, join, or crop the screen recordings. The AI Gallery app lacks video editing features. Google Photos does a great job of trimming videos on Android mobile phones. It however can’t join video clips together. As a result, we may have to use third-party media tools and apps instead.
Do a search for video editor or video maker on Google Play Store or Palm Store on Tecno mobile phone, you will find a lot of relative apps. Which video editing app to go for? Many apps claim that they can shoot, trim, join, crop and edit videos right on the mobile device. But they are not made equal. Which of them is best suited? Do I have to try them all to find out? Well, you don’t have to because we have done that for you. We have downloaded several top-rated video editors from Google Play Store, have them tested and compared. We found InShot video editor and maker does the job quite well. The app size of its current version is around 80M, much smaller than its competitors like FineMaster video editor. It has a clear UI, intuitive and easy to use. It includes pretty much everything you’d need. Best of all, it even allows users to remove watermark from their videos without any fee. Similar apps would usually impose a watermark on users videos if not paid or subscribed.
Now follow below steps and instructions to quickly merge two or multiple video clips or screen recordings on your Tecno mobile phone.
Combine videos using InShot on Tecno & Android mobiles
Run Inshot video editor app on your Tecno phone, choose Video from its home screen > Create New section. Grant the app the permission to access your photos, files and media content on the phone when asked. The permission request will pop up the first time you launch the app. Then browse to your video album to select and add all video clips you’d like to combine from your Tecno mobile phone storage to the video merger app.

Once all the video footage are imported you can preview them at the upper section. Just tap on the Play button to play all videos one by one. If you found the video files are not in the right sequence, long press on a video clip to rearrange or swap order at the bottom. Place video clips one after another in the order you like. Then tap on the Save button in the top right corner. Tap on the Save button again to confirm in the new dialog to pop up. The Quality selection dialog pops up where you can choose video resolution, 1080p, 720p, 640p or custom size. After that all source videos will be converted and combined into one. Wait for a while for the conversion to finish. The merged video will be saved to your Tecno mobile. And InShot video editor will provide you extra options to quickly share the output video to Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, YouTube, Email, WhatsApp, Twitter and even more.
Fire up the AI Gallery app, navigate to Albums > Other album > inshot to find all videos created, merged, edited by the InShot video editor app.
