Change photo size, aspect ratio on Tecno mobile

Do you need some picture or image to be a certain size or aspect ratio on your Tecno mobile phone? There are several ways to do that. You can change picture size and aspect ratio from the camera settings before taking photos on your Tecno phone. For existing photos or images, or downloaded images, you can use the AI Gallery to crop them to different aspect ratio. Change photo size in Camera settings on Tecno mobile

Open the stock Camera app on your Tecno phone, tap the Settings (gear symbol) in the top left corner. On this Settings screen, tap on Picture size in the Capture settings section to show all picture sizes and aspect ratios available. Just tap to select and apply. New photos captured using the Camera app will be saved in the new resolution and aspect ratio from now on.

If was not specified, picture size here refers to only rear camera on the phone. I have not found the option to change picture size or resolution for front camera on my Tecno Camon 15.

Crop pictures to an aspect ratio on Tecno phone

AI Gallery is the stock photo app we can use to view and manage our photos and image files on Tecno mobile phones. It provides us basic image editing tools such as crop, rotate, watermark photos.

Open up the Gallery app on Tecno mobile, choose Albums, open the right album to find and open the picture. Below the photo, you’d see options to Share, Edit and Delete the current photo.

Tap on Edit (pencil symbol), then choose Edit (a pen on a paper symbol) again to show the Crop and Rotate option. Tap on Crop, you’ll then find all available aspect ratios, 1:1, 3:4, 4:3, 2:3, 9:16.

Choose the aspect ratio you like. A rectangle or square box, depending on your selection of the aspect ratio, appears above the photo. Drag the selection box over the image to select the area you want. In fact, you can drag any of the four dots at each corner of the selection box to change the aspect ratio arbitrarily. Tap on the check icon at the top right to crop the picture and return to the previous screen. Here you can find more editing options. Go edit other aspects of the photo if need. When finished, tap on the Save button in the top right corner to export the cropped picture with its new aspect ratio, resolution to the Gallery app. It’ll be saved to the same folder or album as the original photo.
